But, the hiccup was short lived, as early the very next morning I cranked out this card (a thank you for my mother-in-law) in no time flat while eating breakfast:

That great flower image is from the Sassy Stems set by Stampin' Up!. I stamped it in black and then used my markers (SU and Marvy) to trace over the image to give it color. It was matted it on black card stock and adhered to the card with popdots. I used SU's Paisley background on the base and tried inking it with the marvy marker to match the flower, but obviously it didn't work too well. LOL I think that marker is about dried out. ;) Anyway, I've officially jumped on the Cuttlebug bandwagon and am loving the results! The turquoise panel was embossed with the D'vine Swirl embossing folder and also matted with black card stock which was pierced and faux stitched with my white Signo gel pen (also SU). That pen is amazing! It has an almost paint-like quality - fantastic coverage. In keeping with the swirly theme (the flower image and embossed panel), I added a spiral clip, and in order to round out my use of black, I used some black organdy ribbon and stamped the sentiment (from SU's old Small Script hostess set) in black as well.
Thank you for looking. Hope your week is off to a great start! :)

I have to say: that is an impressive card. And I can definitely sympathize with you on your previous post. Although I am creative in a different way (i.e., writing), I have the same type of days on occasion.
This is lovely...I really like the color palette you chose!
Lisa, you don't know how tempted I am to get the Cuttlebug. I love what you did here, the colors are great together.
You got your muse back quite quickly - a beautiful elegant card Lisa!!

This is a very gorgeous card - the colours just go so perfectly. I also love that flower / vase stamp.
This is a beauty, Lisa! You are exceptionally good at integrating a theme (like swirls here) throughout your creations...subtle but still there...*just right*. Awesome work, girl! :)
This is a gorgeous card Lisa !! love how you coloured the flowers.
Lisa your card is just gorgeous!
I hope you find some creative time on a daily basis - I know as a Mom this is hard to do - but I need it for my sanity! :)
