This week, the theme is "Autumn Leaves"... how timely! ;) The team used Autumn Leaves products, so if you have any of those, we'd love to see you use them, too! But of course it's not mandatory to participate. I used a leaf image from an Autumn Leaves stamp set called Manhattan Icons... remember that one? :) I also used colors that speak "fall" to me, and here's what I came up with:
The technique is an oldie but goodie - crayon resist. Typically, it's done on glossy card stock, but since I was using kraft for my base, and just with the over all theme in general, I wanted to keep it a little more textural and just used regular white card stock. It still worked really well! I also incorporated a pool color in there because one of the things I love most about the leaves changing colors is the way they look against a crisp, blue sky. I just find the contrast of yellows, oranges, and browns against the blue absolutely stunning. So I had to include it. :)
Ready? Set? Your turn! Create your project with the theme "Autumn Leaves" and upload it HERE before 8am next Wednesday (10/31), and you could win one of these:
