Much needed blogging break

Hello there! I'm back. Looks like it's been over a month since my last post. A record, even for me. LOL ;)

Seriously... at the time I made my last post, holiday activities and responsibilities were really beginning to pick up speed, as I'm sure you can relate to. And with the type of job my hubby has which requires him to work extra hours during the month of December, (80 to 90 hours EACH WEEK to be exact), I'm pretty much left to my own devices as far as getting everything done: Decorating, cooking, any last minute holiday shopping & wrapping, as well as general housework and homeschooling! Not to mention the fact that just two days after Christmas, I came down with the worst throat virus ever. It was terrible... I didn't eat a crumb for two days, it was so painful. I could hardly even drink my honey lemon tea! And it ended up lasting over three weeks!

Anyway, pity party aside LOL... with all that I had to do, and with no energy in which to do it, I decided I needed to just let a few things slide for a while, KWIM? Two of which were blogging and stamping. Throughout my gradual comeback, I've been online here-n-there a little bit - maybe 10 minutes a day, tops - to peek in on my favorite stamping hangouts and answer a few emails. But other than that, I've pretty much been takin' my time getting back into the creative groove. And on top of that now, we've begun our new homeschool curriculums for the year. Everyone's using a different method, so it's a bit of a challenge to stay organized. However, I am confident that it will all begin to gel real soon. ;) I have a fourth grader (CD-ROM curriculum), a first grader(text/work book curriculum, which reqiuires 100% 0f my attention), and a kindergartener (DVD curriculum)! As well as an adorable yet impish two year old running amuck during all of this. LOL **sigh** There's never a dull moment around here, that's for sure. ;)

Even though I'm not yet quite 100%, and school got off to a bit of a rocky start, I am feeling a lot better and I can see the dust beginning to settle on the horizon. :) That means, time to get STAMPING! And the fact that I got my big SAB order today is no less inspiring, either. ;) Just some of the things Mr. Brown brought me today include:

  • Big Pieces (winter mini)
  • Small Tag Punch (winter mini - SO excited about this!)
  • Wild Rose
  • Bodacious Bouquet
  • Bodacious Bouquet brass embossing template
  • Wild About You
  • Close As A memory
  • Headline Alpha
  • Typeset Alpha
  • Cheesecloth background
  • Flannel Plaid Background
  • more In Color reinkers
  • and more In Color 8 1/2 x 11 card stock packs (gotta stock up on this In Color stuff, before it's all gone!)
  • ...and a few other miscellaneous things. ;)

All I can say is, thank goodness for Christmas money. LOL Seriously though... up until this point, I hadn't ordered even one set from the '06-'07 catty yet - and here it's been out for almost SEVEN MONTHS! I've purchased a set or two from the last few minis, but all I've ordered from the big anual catty has been inks and card stock (remember this post?) So, I was due for a big stamp order. ;) Obviously I qualified for all the SAB sets, even though there's a couple I'm not particularly fond of. But, I've never been one to turn down free rubber before, so why start now? LOL ;) And for my hostess sets, I chose both Way Blossoms and Riveting. I can't wait to get busy! Anyone wanna come over and help me cut up all this rubber? LOL :)

I know I said I was going to sign up to demo in January, but I may have to put those plans on hold now, due to a situation with my husband's job that may or may not pan out. If it does, then I'll need to wait a few more months (at least) before signing on. I'm not willing to disclose any info about it at this time, but if you could, would you keep us in your prayers, please? This is a HUGE decision hubby and I need to make for our family and we could sure use as much clairvoiance and wisdom as possible right now. Thanks. :)

Well, time to get cutting I suppose. I hope this finds you well and I look forward to getting back into the blogosphere real soon so I can see what you've been up to lately! Have a great weekend!

Hi Lisa. :) I am so sorry you have been so sick. I knew you were sick, but not that bad. Glad things are returning to "normal". I was going to ask you about signing up. It is good you are waiting. I will definitely say a prayer. You and hubby will make the right decision, whatever it may be.
