As promised, here's the Valentine I made for my hubby (click to see larger):
I hope the picture does this card justice, because (seriously - not bragging or anything, but) this card came out exactly as I had imagined... romantic and valentine-y, but still a little masculine (with the "chocolate" heart). Regardless, I LOVE it... and so did hubby. :) Which is the most important thing, right? ;)
First off, I LOVE the color combo - Chocolate Chip and Pomegranate look so rich together! It reminds me of sinful, raspberry truffles. :) I also love the Tres Chic background with all of its beautifully typeset, sentimental words. I got lucky with the Rubber Stampede sentiment stamp matching so well! And I used some Autumn Leaves flourishes here -n- there to mimic the swirls in the Tres Chic background and Filigree heart.
For the heart, I stamped it with VersaMark onto the chocolate card stock and heat embossed with about 4 layers of UTEE (stamp once...apply UTEE...heat until "droplets" of UTEE form...remove heat tool and quickly sprinkle on more UTEE...heat again...this time the UTEE will begin to smooth out to a glass-like finish...sprinkle on more UTEE...heat again...repeat as many time as you wish for depth). While the fourth layer was still molten, I pressed the Filigree stamp into it to give it that awesome texture. My kids think it looks like real chocolate! LOL
*** EDITED TO ADD: I then cut the heart out and mounted it onto Pomegranate card stock, trimmed it close, and sponged it with more Chocolate ink. I wanted the heart to have a bit more definition from the card, so I decided to add the tiny "border". Thanks for your question, Chris! Hope this clears things up a bit. :) ***
I absolutely love Purely Pomegranate. LOVE. IT. Paper, ribbons, ink refills... I'm stockin' up and hoarding it all. LOL But I had to use it on hubster's card, cuz he's worth it. ;) Love you, hunny! XO
Thanks for peeking and I hope you have a wonderful day. :)

Gorgeous card!!!!
Oh my...complete gorgeousness!! Rich, passionate, and definitely looking edible! (The chocolate heart...although the ribbon looks totally yummy as well.) ;) Hey, I just noticed your blog turned pink...even the pencils...so sweet! Happy (day late) hearts day, girlfriend! xo
Such an OUTSTANDING card! Beautifully coordinated, beautifully designed, professional in every way!
Very lovely and rich...Did you mount the heart on red after you stamped it?
This is just so yummy and gorgeous! Love the technique you used for the heart.
Thanks for the tip about the Mono Multi, I'll try it (if I ever use the stuff again, lol!).
Stamping ruby ink on red paper looks almost like versamark does, it's just easier to clean the stamp. Try it out and let me know if you like it!
Amazing card Lisa!!
This is a very attractive card, it has everything going for it, just BEAUTIFUL! Love the fuchsia colour scheme with chocolate!
(Just a note: I saw the post of feb 03 a couple of days ago and it made me go all shy... they are pretty lovely words to say, thank you!)
gorgeous! I love that ribbon. Bought it. Haven't used it. Story of my life!
