Rollin', rollin', rollin'... with the pink

I've had at least two different people (two different genders, to different creative perspectives) tell me that this card reminded them of a (covered) wagon. LOL! I can see that, I suppose... (click to see larger):

I think it's the four circular elements below the large square one, as well as the fact that they have a spoke-like flower in the center and the black outline around each one resembling "tires". LOL Whatever it is, the original design of this card was much simpler and in no way would've brought wagons to mind. While the original design looked great, it just came together way too quickly for my overly fussy tastes and I ended up getting carried away with things like matting, adding color to the images (black and white pens), and bling to the centers. And all I wanted to do was make one final pink card but with possibly a more masculine feel for the pink challenge over at the Hero Arts blog. Not too sure if I achieved that goal or not. LOL :P

Another part of the contest was to include a creatively decorated, coordinated envelope. This was the envie I made for this card...

The little flowers were punched out of the front of the envelope only. To do this, simply place a small cutting/eyelet setting mat inside the envelope, and use an anywhere hole punch to punch the flowers. Remove the mat, stamp dotted circles around the flowers, and when you slide the card into the envie, the card stock shows through the flowers. It may be simple, but it's a cool effect IRL.

Anyway, hope your week is off to a great start! Thanks for peeking today. :)

That would have been a covered wagon many pioneers would have loved to have :) Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy cute!!
Maybe we could meet sometime since you are in the Denver metro. Maybe we could get together at an Archiver's nearby? You can "peamail" me if you'd like :)
Have a happy day

I love the idea for the envelope and I wouldn't have thought a wagon unless you mentioned it!

I found your blog through SCS, but Dawn is also a great friend of mine and she knows I love to stamp and she independently referred me here! I must say, I love all your ideas. :-)
