so, what are YOU doing one week from today?

Hopefully, you'll be hangin' out with me over at Scrapbook News and Review, partyin' down, and celebrating World Card Making Day in style! (Like my little counter I put up there?) Here's the official press release from the SNR website:

"Scrapbook News and Review Presents...

WCD Winter Wonderland Card Crop OCT 4th

Scrapbook News and Review is ringing in the holiday card making season in a grand way! World Card Making Day is Oct 4th, and we at Scrapbook News and Review are inviting you to join us for a full day of card making fun! There will be tons of games, challenges, and fun banter in the forums. Our galleries will be open for inspiration, including a new gallery filled with tons of holiday cheer. We will be showing a complete look at all the major holiday releases this year. There will also be fun guest sponsors and hosts, and fun prizes, too...definitely not to be missed!

Ready to get your holiday card making started? Want to see the fun Winter Lines the major manufacturers are debuting this season? Want to make some new friends, and maybe win a few prizes? Make plans to join Scrapbook News and Review (www.scrapbooknewsandreview.com) on Oct 4th for an all day Card Crop."

And here's the official details:

• This year's festivities are all based on holiday music. The challenges all have Christmas carol themes, and there will even be an audio player, streaming holiday music to enjoy while you're creating your holiday cards and/or chatting in the forums!

• Speaking of challenges, we've got a whole slew of them goin' on! Lots of festive, creative ideas to kick start the ol' mojo. A sample for each challenge will be posted in the exclusive holiday card gallery, and some of the challenges even have prizes!

• And speaking of the forums, there will be plenty of fun chatter to give you a break from all of that feverish card-making. ;) Bring your favorite holiday recipe to share, or pick up some new ones! Play games, or even chat with SNR staff members and designers. (*ahem*... heehee!)

• Oh, and don't forget the holiday card gallery! Created exclusively for the event, it's a place that's sure to get you in the spirit, with tons of ideas and inspiration. Come and upload your cards, leave comments, and save your favorites.

Best of all, you'll be getting a big jump on all of your holiday card making, AND having fun at the same time... what could be better than that?!

Personally, I will be hosting TWO of the challenges:
"Blue Christmas" - a blue-themed inspiration challenge (visual inspiration pieces will be provided)
"The Twelve Days of Christmas" - a One Sheet Wonder challenge (I have created my very own exclusive template that will be available for download which will enable you to get TWELVE holiday card elements from just ONE piece of 8.5 x 11 inch stamped card stock! Simply print, stamp, cut, and assemble, NO measuring required! How cool is that?! Although there is no limit to the number of challenges anyone can participate in, this challenge alone will definitely help you to knock out a huge chunk of your holiday cards... that's A DOZEN cards from JUST ONE challenge!)

I will also offer my own prizes for both challenges as well. Brand new product from Chatterbox, American Crafts, and Hero Arts are included! :D

All in all, this proves to be one awesome event. Honestly, I am SO excited about all the things that will be going on! The only thing left is YOU! So make sure to stop by, say hello, and hang out for a little bit... or a lotta bit. ;) The more the merrier! No pun intended. LOL

Thanks for reading. And a super huge THANK YOU for all of your really sweet comments on my last post. I still don't think it's officially sunk in yet! LOL Anyway, I'm hoping to have something for you to see in a few days, so until then, have a great weekend!

I, my friend, will be having my annual Stampin' Up! workshop on that day! I didn't even know that there was a card making day! A group of 10 of us will be making 2 different cards, a fall and a winter, with Loads of Love and LOL acces!
Thanks for the links, I am off to check them out!
