And to celebrate here on my blog, I'm giving away some fun stuff, too (click to see larger):
First up are some of the same stamps that I used on my cards for today's post at the Hero Arts blog. One randomly drawn winner will receive a brand new Clear Design Branch and Leaf Long Border set AND a brand new Poinsettia & Birds DesignBlock!
Just leave me a comment to this post telling me about your favorite holiday music. I tend to be nostalgic when picking out Christmas tunes, and always lean toward the classics that my parents played when I was a kid - Sinatra, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, etc. However, I recently heard Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong" and was blown away! I realized that I need to expand my holiday music collection with some more modern artists and would love your input! :) Only one comment per person please, and only comments left prior to 11:59 PM EST Friday night (Nov. 7) will be included in the drawing. I will post the winner on Saturday morning. What a way to start the weekend! :D
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing in my excitement today! :) This has just been such an amazing and surreal experience. Nancy is an absolute sweetheart! Such a pleasure to work with, and so kind and patient. I have been so blessed! Have a great day and check back soon... I'm not done with the give-aways just yet. ;)
EDIT TO ADD 8/10/09: Here are my cards that were featured. Be sure to click the links at the beginning of this post to be taken to the Hero Arts blog for full product lists and details. :)

Lisa,
I just saw your blog on the Hero Arts site and immediately found your blog and added it to my favorites list. I love the color combinations and simplicity of your cards. they are beautiful!!!
I love to listen to Amy Grant's christmas albums. I believe I have 4 of them. Beautiful, sweet, relaxing music.
Congrats on you "Day on the Hero Arts blog"!
Hi Lisa,
Have you tried listening to music only, no voices? Here are some of my CD's which are my favorites (but I don't know if they're still available, they're so old!!):
Joy to the World - John Williams and Boston Pops,
A Christmas Festival with Arthur Fiedler and Boston Pops,
any of Manheim Steamrollers Christmas albums,
The Joy of Christmas with Leonard Bernstein and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir,
and newer, A Christmas Celebration by Celtic Woman, and
Josh Groban's Noel.
And, of course, the Messiah....I have listened to this since I was a little girl, and I think I could probably sing most of it myself!!!
I know you are having a wonderful day today, being featured on the Hero Blog. It is well deserved.
Sending hugs,
Lin
Lisa, my favorite Christmas song is Kenny Loggins "Celebrate me home". It's very bittersweet, it was my sister Holly's favorite too(her b-day 12-25) since she passed away it's hard to hear without balling my eyes out. Samantha
Hi, Lisa! When I was little, we used to listen to Christmas Carols on the record player every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My favorites were the Little Drummer Boy and Away in a Manger.
Congratulations on your day on the Hero Arts blog! And thanks for being generous and sharing the wealth!
If I get to choose the music then I like to listen to Sinatra too. But generally my four year old is doing the choosing, so we get Hi5 and the Wiggles!
Oh Christmas music....I love it. My favorite is the Trans Siberian Orchestra. It's just so beautiful. But I am also a sucker for the Classics, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra etc. They bring back wonderful holiday memories when I was a little girl.
You did an amazing job on the Hero Arts Blog. I can't wait to surf around your blog a bit.
Thanks for the inspiration!!
Love your cards, Lisa! So classy!
I too, love the classic holiday tunes.....and have added the Manheim Steamrollers as the "new" age music I enjoy.
I have a favorite memory of Christmas music, growing up. Our neighbors mounted a large loud speaker on thier roof and played Christmas music for weeks during our holiday school break. We could hear it all over the neighborhood! The kids loved it!
We stayed outside for hours, playing and singing to the music!
My siblings and I all agree that it was one of our fondest Christmas memories!
Here are a couple of favorites:
John Fahey, Christmas Guitar
Elton John, Elton John's Christmas
Classic Soul Ballads--Christmas
I also really like the Roches Christmas album, but that might be too obscure.
I too saw your cards on the Hero Arts blog and raced over to sign up for your RSS feed. As others have said, it's the simplicity, clean lines, and color combinations that make them stand out!
Congratulations, and I look forward to following your blog!
Congrats! Your designs are lovely and glad you were picked to co-host on the blog.
Amy Grant her first christmas album is one of our favorites.. Than I go to the oldies.. Bing Crosby, etc.
Hi! Just found your blog tonight through Jennifer McGuire and I LOVE your work! :)
My favorite holiday music has to be Harry Connick, Jr. Man can he sing and he's pretty easy on the eyes, too! ;)
Kathryn Allen
I am like you I love the classic tunes. I listen to Bing and Andy I should try some new tunes too.
Here is one of my very favorite by Burl Ives "Silver and Gold". The song on Rudouph and the voice of the snowman.
Great job on Hero Arts today.
Sandi N.
I love the traditional music from my childhood, but I look forward to the new songs that come out each year as well. Little Drummer Boy is my all time fave!!
My favorite Christmas song is Bing Crosby's version of White Christmas. I cry when I hear it :) I also love th rock n roll versions of holiday songs.
Last year I purchased a Christmas album by Josh Groban called Noel. I really enjoy listening to it! Good luck in your search. Thanks for all the inspiration!

I just love your cards! I love all Christmas music my fav. would probably be Christmas shoes by Newsong!
Lisa,
I was SO excited for your day at the HA blog. Your work is simply stunning and so elegant. Love how you used the stamps in non-traditional ways.
My favourite Christmas music would have to be Christmas hymns followed by some good Michael W. Smith.
Sarah M
My boys and I love the song, "I want a hippopotomus for Christmas"...makes us giggle every time we hear it. Nothing like Christmas music to really put you into the spirit of the holida season!
Oh, I love the oldies, of course, but also Mannheim Steamrollers Christmas albums. But my alltime favorite is probably The Carol of the Bells, either sung by Julie Andrews or the instrumental version by Mannheim Steamroller.
I have to say I love the classics. However Celine Dion but out a Christmas album a few years back that I love. There is a song on it that is a duet with her and Andrew Bocelli that I just love.
I'm a sucker for class ol' school Christmas music. One of my favorites is Nat King Cole's Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire (The Christmas Song).
I like Mannheim Steamrollers Christmas albums, Amy Grant, and Kenny G.
I'm not picky, any Christmas music will do. We start listening to it very early and often throughout the year because our kids (2 and 4 years old) request it as well.
I too am a nostalgic holiday listener. I love Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, or Nat King Cole. I also love the Mannheim Steamroller music and Michael Bolton and John Denver and The Carpenters. See I do love the oldies but they are the goodies.
Congrats on your day on the Hero Arts blog - your cards were all so beautiful. I really like your elegant, classic style. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a grinch when it comes to Christmas Music...after working in a supermarket for a number of years in my late teens I got OD'd on Christmas songs so I don't listen to much now. I do enjoy singing carols though.
I love the Christmas song "White Christmas". A very touchy song for me :). And since i'm in Singapore and originally from the Philippines where there's no snow, "i'm really dreaming of a white christmas" ;)
Thanks for the chance :).
Hugs,
lily

I have some Starbucks mix CDs that are fun too. Aaron Neville's Ave Maria is amazing!
I just arrived from the Hero blog - fantastic work! A big congrats to you for being selected.
My fave holiday song of all time is Oh Holy Night. Bing Crosby does a nice version, but it doesn't compare to my memory of my 7th grade teacher singing it at a middle school band concert - wow!
And I love traditional songs we sing for worship: Angels we Have Heard on High, Do You Hear What I Hear. Gives me warm fuzzies to think of Xmas!
TFS your talent w/ us, and thanks for the chance for these fab Hero products!!

I love any Christmas music! Beautiful cards!
Congrats on being featured on the HA blog - such pretty work.
As A music teacher I become immune to a lot of carols, but I love The Little Drummer Boy, who drums his very best for the baby Jesus.
I guess you can find this on lots of albums, but we have it on a compilation of originals, and we always play it when we decorate the Christmas tree.
Thanks for the kind offer of the stamps.
Ros
I love the classic holiday music.
Great work! I haven't started listening to Christmas much yet this year (very soon though) but last year I loved all the Trans-Siberian Orchestra stuff.
What fun to win a "win a day with" on Hero Arts, I like the cards you made.
I've been humming "walking in a winter wonderland" since I made my first Christmas card back in September. But I love to listen to Bing Crosby, both the carols and the more popular songs. The moment I hear "white Christmas" for the first time every year I have tears in my eyes. And we never have a white Christmas over here.
Eveline.
I absolutely love Christmas music and have over 25 Christmas albums. I don't think I could pick a favorite. If I'm in the mood for mellow I listen to instrumental. I have Christmas jazz, country, classical, old classics. I just got all of my albums out two days ago and have started playing them in my car as my family would kill me if they had to listen to them at home for the next two months. My boys love the Alvin and the Chipmunks Chrismas album which we sing at the top of our lungs on the way to and from school. Thank you for the opportunity to win some candy. Have a blessed day!
Lesly

My fav Christmas CD is Amy Grant's. Something about her voice is very uplifting. Oh, and the Chipmunks--yes I'm one of those people!!!--but its not Christmas for me without those little guys screwing up a song or two.

Hi I enjoyed your Hero Arts cards today. You are blessed with such great talent. Thanks for shring your time and ideas and goodies.
I love listening to Third Day's Christmas Album. I just luv the lead singer: Mac Powells' voice. One of my favorite Oldie is Brenda Lees' Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. I found a nice cd and dvd set that has solo piano music by Jeff Victor and a dvd of a fire glowing in a fireplace in a 1903 house. That is nice to play on tv or puter and have a fire without the smoke in your house.
I'll be Home for Christmas. Always makes me cry. And I love Carol of the Bells, so elegant and beautiful.
I love listening to A Charlie Brown Christmas, just something cheery & Christmas-sy about it. I also have a CD by Blake Ewing, I think it's called "Oh Holy Night" He a young man from here in Los Angeles and a former student of mine. He has an incredible voice, he's sang professionally since he was kid. You'd be surprise how great the CD is.

of course i love all the traditional Christmas music...by just about anyone. but...for background music and just getting thru the day...Mannheim Steamroller is the BEST!!! it's music i can have on and never tire of.

You really are SO TALENTED, Lisa! Congrats again on your Hero Arts Day~you are awesome !
I know the idea was for me to tell YOU about some cool Holiday tunes, but the last new Chritmas CD we got was "Jingle Cats"~yes, real cats meowing their way through the classics, delighting our kids and quickly irritating the adults! I listened to the samples from Sarah McLachlan's CD that you linked, and fell in love. I wish I could be more helpful. I really like the oldies that you listed best, along with OLD Amy Grant, Manheim Steamroller, New Age/Winter Solctice.
Thanks for the chance at some blog candy!
Great work at the HA blog!
My favourite holiday music is an older christmas cd from the tv series "Ally Mcbeal" filled with lovely songs. Somehow this has become a chrismas thing for me to put this on during the month of December!
Have a great weekend!
I love the triditional Christmas music. Diesn't really matter who sings it as long as it is done colse to the traditional way.
Hey there! I cannot believe that it is almost Christmas, where has the year gone? Time just flies by the older you get it seems.
Anywho, my favorite carol is "Silent Night", but I love all of the Christmas carols and songs, nothing puts me in a more jolly mood than hearing a christmas song, i guess it is just something about them...
Beautiful cards - I love elegance. I also agree with you about Christmas music, Bing Crosby is the best! I do however enjoy Fresh Aire Christmas by Mannheim Steamroller.
There's this great compilation of instrumental Christmas carols called "Christmas Festival"--trust me, you hear it in department stores from Thanksgiving until Christmas, even if you don't know it. Anyway, I've played it every year from high school right through college at the obligatory holiday concert. It just wouldn't really be Christmas without that piece!
Besides the classics, I like to listen to instrumentals of Christmas carols: hammered dulcimers, flute or acoustic guitar. John Fahey is my favorite for guitar. That way I can sing or hum along while I'm going my Christmas stuff.
Let's see the music I love to listen to during the Christmas season are two great CD's the first is Elvis Christmas it's a wonderful CD with lots of great music. The second one I listen to is Sounds of the Season The Country Collection it has lots of great country artists singing some great Christmas songs.
Good luck finding some great music this Christmas season!!!
Cyndi Lauper has a Christmas cd titled "Merry Christmas.... Have a Good Life". It is one of my favorites.
I like so many different styles of Christmas music that it's really so hard to choose. If I had to pick one it would be Josh Groban's
Christmas album.
I saw your work on the Hero Arts blog. Very very nice!
Paola
Like many others, one of my favourites is Josh Groban's Noel. I also like listening to The Carpenters Christmas Portrait, which brings back many childhood memories.
Just can't go past snoopys christmas! When it comes on the radio the kids call out "mum listen" then turn the radio up full boar so the neighbours get no choice but to join in with the festive spirt! lol

You and I could likely sit down and quite enjoy a lot of the same music. Andy Williams has always been a favorite and Sarah McLaughlin's CD gets a lot of playtime in my house.
BTW, you did a wonderful job on the Hero Arts Blog.
I was introduced to a new Christmas song last year. It's called "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and it is too darn cute. I'm a preschool teacher and my class sang it for our holiday show. Adorable!
I love the different Amy Grant Christmas albums. These are what DD & I reach for, first.
I guess you would call it Christmas rock?
Hi Lisa,

I always hit Costco during the holiday season. They have a good mix of classics and new mixes of various artists. Love all your work and thanks for inspiring me!
I have just found your blog and immediately subscribed. My favorite Christmas music is of course the old classics. I love Silent Night, The LIttle Drummer Boy and Mary, Did you Know? I also love Alabama's Christmas song and one from the 70's that I will listen to over and over. It is called, I think, Because of Christmas Day. IT is upbeat and awesome.
thanks for sharing
