But I got it done yesterday! LOL Better late than never, I guess. :)
Like I said, I don't distress often, so I just sponged and shredded until it looked about right. ;) The background is one of the brand new Hero Arts stamps from their spring supplement catalog! You can't really see it here, because of the technique I used with it (see below), but you can click HERE to see it. I LOVE this stamp! Isn't it fabulous?! I definitely see this one becoming an all-time fave! :D
**TIP** One way to get a distressed look from your stamps right off the bat (particularly with a large background stamp) is to not ink it up all the way. Just tap your inkpad to some areas of the stamp and not to others, and then stamp... it gives an almost faded wallpaper look. It's difficult to see in this photo, but if you click on it to make it larger, hopefully you'll be able to see the detail. :)
As usual, thanks so much for stopping by today. See you soon!
SUPPLIES: All supplies (except for linen thread and chocolate card stock - SU!, and cut-up flower as leaves - Prima) are Hero. Notecard, inks, stamps, collage flowers, pearls... all Hero.

Hi, Lisa! I like your distress card! I especially like the four dots background that you've done in orange on the kraft! :-)
Simply gorgeous, Lisa! Such an elegant distress card!
Very nice. Your clean, distinct style works well for distressing too! Hope you are well. :)
Lisa! This rocks, love what you did! You really rose to the challenge. :)
Gorgeous card, you used some of my favorite colors! Thanks for the tip on "distressing" bg stamps, I had forgotten about that one. Love those sweet stitched x's too!
Totally love this!!! Love that BG stamp!!
So, AZ huh? Keep us posted :)
Found this on Jennifer's FB and I love it!
I LOVE THIS! What a great idea to use a sentiment as the stem! I also love the cleverly place stiching and colors!
