New Toys!

My latest Stampin' Up! order came yesterday... no rubber this time, but LOTS of new inks and card stock instead! Since I'm planning on becomming a Stampin' Up! demo in January, I'm taking the time now to begin stockpiling my supplies. First order of business: Classic (dye-based) ink pads and card stock in all 54 exclusive colors. I had no problem tearing into and playing with the inks right away, but the card stock was another matter. I tend to hoard my paper. LOL So I'm taking it s-l-o-w-l-y and trying to reserve using it only when none of my other (Bazzill) card stocks will match.

Lemme tell ya... there's just nothing that compares to getting that big brown box, ripping it open, and going through and touching all the fun new STUFF! It's like Christmas! :) Sometimes I just leave all the stuff out after unpacking just to stare at it for a day or two before organizing it all and putting it away. It's a sickness I tell ya... sick sick sick. LOL ;)

Here's my first card with just a few of the new supplies:

I know the card looks a little washed out. Honestly, I think it's because there's so much white on the card to begin with... makes the pastel colors look even lighter in the scan than what they actually are IRL. I tend to gravitate towards white card bases a lot, for many reasons. Anyway, by the time I had a chance to sit down last night and open up all my new goodies, organize and assign them their new homes, I only had a few minutes left to whip up something quick and easy. But I just couldn't resist playing... even if only for a few minutes. ;)

Have a great day! :)

Lisa, love this card. Still kicking myself that I didn't get that set. I love it when I get a pkg in the mail. I'm sure mine don't compare to the fun of a huge SU order. It is a sickness, and I'm right there with ya!

Such a pretty card, Lis...love it! Packages totally send my heart aflutter too, LOL. And while it most certainly may be a sickness, I don't think we really want the cure, do we?! ;) Have fun with your yummy new colors!!
