simon says... glimmer and sparkle!

Howdy, friends! Back again with a card for the latest Simon Says Stamp challenge!

This time, it's all about the glimmer and sparkle! Another challenge right up my alley, because I loooooove the bling, heehee! ;) The DT was also asked to use products by Lindy's Stamp Gang, and Lindy's has a huge selection of shimmery "Moon Mists" that are just gorgeous! So if you have any LSG products in your stash, we'd love to see them used, but of course it's not mandatory to enter. Anyway, on to my card:

First, I punched and diecut several sizes of circles from card stock, and temporarily adhered them (as masks) to my panel in the pattern I wanted. Then I used 'Long John's Silver' Moon Mist on it, followed by a quick blast with my heat tool to speed up the drying process. There wasn't as much silver in this mist as I thought, (or as the swatch suggests)... at least, I couldn't get it to show up very well. Maybe because I used it on the white card stock. But boy, I do LOVE this soft brown color! It's gorgeous - a very cool, taupe-y brown. Perfect match to Neenah Desert Storm (or any other smooth kraft) card stock! Then I used the same punches/dies and cut out some black card stock. After stamping my main image/sentiment inside one of the masked circles, I added the various black punches and some gems... I had the "glimmer" from the mists, so I had to have some "sparkle" from the gemstones. ;)
